Is this going to be a Mobo issue or maybe a power supply issue? The LED's were flickering a bit during this time. same thing all 4 HD lights were solid red. Pulled power again and pulled the system drive. Pulled power, pulled all but the system drive, powered back on and still had all 4 HD lights solid red. Plugged it back in and powered on with same results but the purple (red/blue) light flashed once and stayed on. I pulled the power cord again and it shut down. I attemped to reboot with the power button and nothing happened both with single push as well as 4+ second push. When it came to life, all hard drive lights were solid red and the health indicator was slow flashing purple (red/blue).

I pulled the power cord, waited a few and plugged it back in, then was able to start the server with the power button. Once your computer is operating in server mode, you need to install a Plex client. I held the power button down and still nothing. I pressed the power button and nothing happened. Thankfully I don't have any data in there that needs to.Ĭame home from work and tried to access some files with no luck. I tried turning it back on again and pressing the Reset button with a paperclip to get it to Recovery Mode but nothing changes and the Server Recovery can't find it on the computer when I pop in the Server Recovery Disk. I have to unplug the power chord from the machine in order for it to turn off. When I try to hold down the power button to shut off the machine, it won't turn off. But now, when I turn on the machine, all 4 lights turn solid RED and the health indicator flickers solid PURPLE. So, I upgraded the RAM to 2GB (from 512MB) and just bought a Seagate 4TB drive to replace the old system drive (500GB) with the fresh new 4TB drive. I had issues with it in the past with loss of data so I "retired" it and was using another system for backing up my data. Hello, I haven't been using my Ex470 in a long time and decided this past week to pull it off the shelf and try using it again. I searched the forums and threads, saw that it was possible, but I am not very expert, so instead I just decided to add it to my storage and turn on Folder Duplication for all my. At first I thought I wanted to install it to use as backup, but got the message that it needed to be partitioned. Then, just today installed a second identical WD 1tb drive. One about two weeks ago – added it to storage, no problems. I decided it was time to at least get another hard drive in there for the inevitable death of that original. The message would go away on its own however, not due to anything I’d done. Over the past few months, though, I’d keep getting the message that my hard one hard drive was unhealthy and I should repair. Things have been pretty fine since I’ve had it. I have an EX 485 and, up until recently had the original 750gb hard drive in there. DID I KILL MY SERVER? PLEASE HELP! Okay – I now realize I didn’t kill it, but really thought I was close!) I hope someone can help.
